A Handful of Simple Ways to Support Your Sanity

April 15, 2025  I had the pleasure of hosting a workshop on coping skills with Wilshire Institute for Interventional Psychiatry. I was able to connect with their community and provide psychoeducation on the basics of self care, coping skills, and self soothing for the long term.

A Celebration of Persian New Year

March 19, 2025  I had the honor of partnering with The Jewish Therapist Collective and Dr. Amanda Maddahi, Senior Clinical Program Manager at Maple Counseling, for a meaningful conversation on diversity within LA’s Jewish community. Centered around Noruz (Persian New Year), we shared about our cultural traditions, family celebrations, and the nuanced, intersectional experiences of growing up in the diaspora as children of immigrants.

November 3, 2024 I read my poetry in public for the first time at the Los Angeles Public Library in DTLA. This poem was informed by my identity as a first generation Iranian American estranged from my family's homeland. This is also my first publication as an adult. The poem can be found in Songs of the Earth by the LA Public Library.
